Branding 2013

We branded the calves out at Mountain View this past weekend. 

Dear Sister Anderson...

This beautiful girl enters the Missionary Training Center in 10 days. 

I LOVE Lexy. I was so blessed to have her as a roommate this past school year. She has a strong testimony and exceptional character. It is evident that she was born of goodly parents. She is very intelligent and I look up to her a lot. I can think of many things that she taught me through example. 

Lexy is patient, kind, and knows how to get along with everyone. She understands that through service we can grow to love and get along with people who we may be struggling with. I recall one time she was having a hard time getting along with one of our other roommates. She expressed her concern with me about how she was driving her crazy. However, instead of getting mad at this girl she took a different route--she served her. That same night I noticed that she had written this girl a nice note telling her how glad she was to be roommates. I am grateful for Lexy's example to me of service. She will be a great missionary because she will serve others. 

Lexy magnify's her calling. She always put 110% into everything. She attended all her meetings, went the extra mile to fellowship those in need, and faithfully fulfilled any assignment she was given. I recall one time the Elder's Quorum President came to our door and asked Lexy if she would represent the Relief Society at a meeting because the President and both counselors failed to show up. Lexy will be a great missionary because she will do anything that her Mission President asks of her. 

Lexy understands the importance of the Temple. I remember one time she got up at 5:00 am to get to the Temple before school. She will be a great missionary because she will always put the Lord first. 

These are just a few of the examples that I thought of that show why Lexy will be a great missionary. Ultimately though, I believe that it is her unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ and his gospel that will make her an exceptional missionary. She loves the Lord and wants to serve him. It is because of her testimony and her love for the Savior that she will help others to come to know Christ. They will see her and want to be like her. 

Thank you Lexy for all you have taught me. I loved being your roommate. I hope we get the chance again. Good luck with all your upcoming adventures and know I will be praying for you everyday.
