Good Day EH?!

Today was a great day!

I had oatmeal for breakfast! Yum Yum! Apple cinnamon!

I played my "I Stand All Amazed" song today. It is getting better!

I had a refied bean taco with cheese for lunch! Sounds gross I know but it is so good!

I finished my PE 20!!!!! SHOUT FOR JOY!

I memorized half of my vocab words.

I ran for an hour.

I made orange chicken with asparagus for dinner! Ya it was GOOD!

In seminary we had a an awesome, uplifting lesson on prayer!

I had this conversation with Mr. Heninger
Me: "Mr. Heninger I am terrible at reading comp! I serious feel like I failed that one! I am terrified for the diploma!"
Mr. Heninger "O really? I think you reached the position where you are going to do quite well."
Yes he said it in his orignal melancholy tone but that doesn't matter because the point is when those kind of words come out of Mr. Heninger's mouth you know that he really means it! In his own way he meant that I am capable of excellence. It made me feel so good because he just doesn't go around telling people how good they are unless he really means it. My goal I swear is just to impress that man. It brings me such joy when he compliments me. Weird I know. But hey it motivates me to do good!

I worked on my speech for grad. (I have to do the teacher tribute) O ya grad is in TWO DAYS!!!

Yup today was great.  :D

Home Library

When going throughout my day, I had a sudden thought. In my house I would love to have a library. You know how in the old movies houses would have an inviting looking room with comfy chairs and books where family members could sit, read, and reflect. The room would always have a quiet and content feeling about it. I love it! I want that for my house. A cozy, quiet, peaceful place filled with both good literature and church books where my family can sit, read, and reflect. Not only will it help encourage them to read, but also fill our home with education and knowledge.

Who wouldn't want to read in here?!

Sit and Think. . . Why Not!

It is lunch time on a 8 degrees cold thursday. Where am I? Parked just outside the Temple. It is beautiful. It is magnificent. Not feeling like staying at the school for lunch, I decided to come here instead to think, and enjoy the view. Not sure what i'm going to say, perhaps I will just say what's going on in my life right now.

Today Clayton and I went down to Secret Garden to pick out my corsage and his boutonniere for grad. He was a gentleman and opened all of the doors for me and he even paid for both of them despite my saying I was planning on paying for his. His car smelled like smoke. He said it was his sister's car and she smoked. I want to ask him about his family but it just wasn't the time. As far as I know he is a member, but how active they are I don't know. Grad is coming up quick. Life has a way of throwing things out you and this is certainly one of them. I can't believe I am about to finish high school, and head off to university. It is crazy. Lately I have been thinking a lot about where I wanna be and if i'm getting anywhere near their. I want so badly to be a wife and mother, I know I am  arriving upon that time in my life. It is close; I can feel it. Although I feel a little more prepared every day through reading my scriptures and growing spiritually I know their is still so much more I can and must to do. I hope and pray that I can continue to prepare to raise my eternal family.

The past couple weeks I have been riding my bike a lot. I really enjoy it. Going from our house to the 501 turn off and back is usually where I go. Dad said it is around 11 miles. I love going in the evenings when the weather is perfect and just enjoying the mountain view and thinking about life. I'm glad I am doing gym 20 through the alternate school because it has gotten me into activities I didn't normally do bike riding being one of them. Sometime I want to ride my bike to school when the weather continues to be nice.

Yesterday Katelyn and I met with Brother Wilde. He asked us if we would be nursery teachers. Having subbed in their two consecutive weeks we kind of saw it coming. We accepted the call. Now we will both continue to play the organ and begin to teach in the nursery. I am excited, although I will miss being in adult sunday school and Relief Society, it will bring many new opportunities. I know the Lord will help to develop new talents and compassion towards little children through this calling. Preparing me for my future family is another way I believe this calling will bless me. It will by no means be easy, but through the Lord's help I know I will benefit through this calling.

My sister is the best friend I could ever ask for. It has really be sinking in lately that we are separating come fall. It will be hard! On the other hand I know that we will both grow and be blessed through our time apart, it will only bring us closer together.

I really love learning and doing my school work. Is that weird? I love mastering a new skill, thinking something that I never had considered before, or seeing all your hard work pay off with a good grade. I guess i'm a nerd. I want so badly to write something so good that Mr. Heninger gives me an E and puts my paper in his book of excellence! That would be my dream! Ya I am a offically a nerd I guess. I can't wait to go to university and learn about health and nursing.

The thought just came to me that even though I have a distinct plan for my future, a vision of where I want to be doesn't mean that life will be easy. I know it will be hard. It will be immensely hard I have no doubt. I know as I live close to the lord and develop my relationship with him he will send his spirit to be with me. "The spirit will guide [me]" as my patriarchal blessing states. I am prepared to face what ever mountains the Lord wants me to climb, as I know I will learn and become refined into something of greater value and worth towards him. I look forward to trials with open hands and willing heart, I will endure what ever it takes to achieve my goals, and ultimately gain eternal life. Heavenly Father didn't send me here to fail and I want nothing more than to embraced in his loving arms and have him proclaim "Well done thou good and faithful servant".

Asked to Grad!!!!

Today I got asked to Grad! What a relief! I was terrified that I would not get asked . . . anyways Clayton Craig asked me. He is an awesome nice kid and I couldn't be happier about going to grad with him!

This is what he looks like...

He sent me on a scavenger hunt that started with a note in my locker part of it said "since your so smart I didn't want to make it too easy. So I have left clues around the school with random teachers" "P.S. You will need a calculator and a periodic table of the elements." Haha kinda nerdy I know but it was fun :D He doesn't mess a round that's for sure! I had to answer a question from Mr. Leavitt, do a chemistry question from Mr. Quinton, a math question from Mr. Beazer and a Bio question from Mr. Janisko which then led me to Mr. Hardy's physics room where the sign below was hanging. It was a lot of fun. Clayton sure put a lot of work into it. I am happy that he asked me! I just now have to figure out how to respond.... mmmmm? Katelyn and Mom are creative hopefully they will help me come up with something.
